The Chorégies d'Orange is today the oldest French festival, dating back to 1869. But over the years, they have managed to retain all their originality: by the name they bear, derived from the Greek "choreos", which links them to the Greco-Latin tradition; by the venue in which they take place each summer: a perfectly preserved ancient Theatre, with a capacity of 8300 people and which has the privilege of having kept its "Wall", guaranteeing exceptional acoustics; by the lyrical and musical vocation that they have given themselves and which allows them to be at the head of the great French festivals and to have an undeniable international reputation.
