Discover the history of the Abbey and the community of Cistercian friars who live in Sénanque.
Located in the pretty village of Gordes, step back in time at the Abbaye de Sénanques, a Cistercian monastery built in 1148 and still in operation. Immerse yourself in the life of the first monks of the 12th century during the visit, and at the right time, admire the lavender fields. The monks work every day in the lavender fields, in the beehives or in the olive grove, so don't leave without a visit to the shop to take home a vial of lavandin essential oil, a pretty box of biscuits, some honey or olive oil.
